Constructing Your Online Professional Identity

November 16, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Alison Hicks, CU Libraries; Dani Denardo, Graduate Assistant; and Stefanie Mollborn, Associate Professor

Workshop: The Institute of Behavioral Science graduate and postdoctoral training program is pleased to announce a series of events focused on disseminating your research through social and traditional media.

What are the key parts of an online professional identity? If you want to create a basic online professional identity, what should you do first? What do you need to do to maintain that identity over time? You will learn the answers to these questions. During this hands-on workshop, you will have the chance to set up your own professional profiles in Google Scholar, ResearchGate, OrcID, academia.edu, and Twitter. Registration is REQUIRED (link below), and enrollment is limited. Once registered you will be given a few instructions to prepare for this “hands-on” workshop. This event is targeted to IBS-affiliated students/postdocs and graduate students from related departments; all IBS affiliates are welcome.
