Forum: What Can a Society Take? Stress, Resilience, and You.

Jason Boardman (Department of Sociology and Institute of Behavioral Science) and Payson Sheets (Department of Anthropology)

Panelists will focus on the varying ways in which societies, individuals and genes respond to stress, from an examination of how complex and more egalitarian societies handled explosive eruptions in Mesoamerica to the fundamental role fo social environmental factors in the genetics of psychologocal resilience in teenagers.
