Abstract: Elevated rates of early pregnancy among youth in foster care are well documented. For youth in foster care, traditional systems of prevention may be problematic, as they often experience disruptions in relationships with their schools, families, and communities. This quasi-experimental study evaluated whether a sexual health training impacts Colorado child welfare workers’ knowledge, attitudes, and communication with youth in foster care regarding reproductive and sexual health topics.
