Rocky Mountain Research Data Center Grand Opening

The only center of its kind in the Rocky Mountain West, the Rocky Mountain Research Data Center (RMRDC) opened officially on August 17, 2017, and Grand Opening events are planned for Thursday afternoon, September 28. Please save the date and plan to attend this momentous occasion. All events will take place in IBS 155A, beginning with a research symposium from 1:30 and 3:30pm. The Grand Opening ceremony is scheduled for 4pm with a reception immediately afterwards.

The symposium will be a series of six research presentations by scholars who are active users of the federal statistical RDCs. The talks will showcase the kinds of research that can be conducted using data available through the RMRDC. Topics include race identity, forecasting geographic shifts in labor demands, wage inequality, family structure and food stamp policy effects on child health, measuring neighborhood demographics, and neighborhood contributions to adult mortality.
