Statistical Analyses with R

January 15, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Philip Pendergast, Computing and Research Services, IBS

Workshop: For those who are interested in doing statistical analyses with R, this class will focus on bivariate analyses, multivariate analyses and regression using GSS data. We will begin by downloading the GSS data from online, cleaning and subsetting the data, and dealing with missing data. Then, we will perform bivariate analyses such as correlations, cross tabs, t-tests and chi squared tests. Next, we will perform multivariate analyses with an eye to understanding whether the model fits the data. Finally, we will print out results, and interpret them.

This course assumes knowledge contained in our Getting Started with R course.
