Fundraiser in honor of Denise Porchetta
Join us to honor Denise Porchetta’s contributions to IBS — and to support breast cancer patients and research.
Walk or ride scenic loops that circumnavigate Boulder, a dream that Denise sadly left unfulfilled.
Fundraiser begins at 10 am on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Valmont Bike Park, 3160 Airport Rd, Boulder, CO 80301.
As chosen by Denise’s family, proceeds will go directly to:
Roberta’s Legacy in Longmont, who offered Denise important support in her final months. Roberta’s Legacy works in partnership with local businesses to provide services for breast cancer families, while also assisting with the financial difficulties breast cancer can bring.
Boulder Community Health Foundation’s Breast Cancer Treatment Fund which supports individuals diagnosed with breast cancer and experiencing financial vulnerability.
Individuals or teams (5 person max) can sign up and request pledges – a link is provided upon registration. Participants and teams can choose how far they intend to ride/walk, while supporters can pledge per mile.
Awards:
- Top-earning individual wins a $50 Downtown Boulder gift card.
- Top-earning team wins a $100 Downtown Boulder gift card.
Walk/Ride Options:
- B-360 is a 24-mile loop that circumnavigates the entire town.
- B-180 is about half the distance, a 12-mile route that goes through a few different parts of Boulder.
The walk kicks off at 10 am, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Valmont Bike Park, 3160 Airport Rd, Boulder, CO 80301.
There are markers on the pavement to guide the way. If doing a partial loop, your team will need to coordinate turn-around or pickup location.
