Abstract: How do we measure fertility in the US, and why does it matter? This talk will present an overview of what we know and don’t know about fertility, and discuss exciting efforts in the CUPC to use large administrative data sources to describe fertility and assess how it has changed in response to changing access to contraception in Colorado.

Bio: Leslie Root is a postdoc with the Colorado Fertility Project within the Colorado Population Center (CUPC) at the University of Colorado Boulder. She received her PhD in demography in 2020 from the University of California, Berkeley.
