Title: Information Session on Large Language Models

Abstract: 

CRS is offering an information session to explore ChatGPT, Google Bard, and Midjourney, and discuss how these models can elevate our research, enhance our communication, and open up new possibilities. Of course, these Large Language Models also pose significant risks when used without an understanding of how they work under the hood which is why we want to open a dialogue.

Grant Matheny

Bio:

Grant Matheny, is an experienced Director Of Information Technology with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Strong information technology professional skilled in OS X, WordPress, Active Directory, Technical Writing, and Customer Service

Don Mather, is a doctoral student in the department of sociology, and a statistics consultant for Computing & Research Services here at the Institute of Behavioral Science. His research interests have focused on social demography and the social factors and contexts that contribute to mental health disparities for minority groups.
