Brief Biography
Kate Coleman-Minahan PhD, RN, FNP-BC is an assistant professor at the University of Colorado College of Nursing and a Betty Irene Moore Fellow for Nurse Leaders and Innovators. She has provided primary and sexual and reproductive health care to young people as a family nurse practitioner for over a decade. Her research centers on reproductive health equity and she explores how structural factors, such as public policy, shape young people’s reproductive lives. Her research has received attention from media outlets such as Colorado Public Radio, Reuters, and The Guardian, and has been used in legislative testimony and litigation.
