Brief Biography
Katie Massey Combs is a Research Associate in the Prevention Science Program and studies the promotion of well-being among youth, especially as it pertains to youth involved in child welfare services, reproductive health, and contraceptive access. Specifically, she leads evaluations of preventive interventions, and conducts studies using secondary data to understand risk and protective factors for behavioral health outcomes as well as factors that lead to successful implementation of evidence-based interventions. Trained in social work and public health, she is keenly interested in interdisciplinary and applied research, and thrives on the challenge of figuring out the best design or analysis for each unique research question and context.
