Brief Biography
Minh Anh Ly is a PhD student and graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is also a graduate research assistant at the Natural Hazards Center. Her research interests include environmental sociology, specifically in social sustainability, social capital, risk management, community bonds, and vulnerability and resilience against disasters and hazards. She has published her works in the Sustainability Journal, Rural Sociology Journal, and the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
Ly earned her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in tourism management from Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom, and her Master of Science in sociology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
