Brief Biography

My academic journey spans law and sociology, with a particular focus on how legal frameworks intersect with social control mechanisms. Licensed to practice law in Brazil, my interests are on criminal enterprise laws addressing the broader implications of extending these frameworks to street gangs, emphasizing concerns around federal jurisdiction and racial disparities. Currently, as a research assistant and teaching assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, I intend to participate on projects that explore social structures and crime control, aiming to contribute insights that could shape fairer and more effective policies.
